Sweet Samuel Moments

Samuel is full of energy, completely rambunctious, and tons of fun, but every now and then, we catch sweet moments on the camera.  Here are a few recent ones.

Hugging a doll at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Snuggled up with Daddy on the couch

And then they were sleeping...

Samuel's First County Fair!

Monday was my first day as a part-timer at work...meaning...more time with Samuel!!!  So excited!  We made a decision a few weeks back that this whole full time work, full time mom gig wasn't working out for me, so I was fortunate to be approved to cut back to part-time in my current role, effective last Monday.  The main reasons for the change were so I could spend more time with Samuel and so we could expose Samuel to lots of experiences outside the home and daycare.  So...my first afternoon off work, Grandma, Grandpa, and I took Samuel to his first County Fair!  With our family's history with county fairs, the fair is all about the animals and project successes of the 4-Hers.  We spent most of the afternoon wandering through the barns showing Samuel all the animals.  It was fun, and I think he enjoyed it, too.

Grandpa's Hat

Samuel spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa's house Friday.  He thought it was funny when Grandma put Grandpa's hat on his head.

Baptism

Samuel was baptized on July 25.  Lucky boy, his Grandma Cathie came all the way across the country for it.  Grandma and Grandpa M and Uncle Dan and Cousin Kyla were all there, too!  It was a very special day.  He was baptized the same day as his friend Meadow who is two months old.

Other highlights of the weekend visit with Grandma Cathie included a visit to the Science and Art Museum to see Lego Creations!  They had huge Lego creations and intricate Lego creations and creative ones!  They even had a huge village that included local sites from our own downtown.  It was very cool!

Legos, cool!

Mike, Samuel, and Grandma Cathie also went to the botanical gardens, which are very pretty right now.  Otherwise, Samuel just had tons of fun playing with Grandma Cathie.  He even showed her how he can eat with a spoon.  He can't wait for our visit to her house, hopefully this fall!

Mmm...food tastes better from Grandma!
